Romance is not all about champagne and flowers, it is about the little things. Like when your partner brings you a hot cup of coffee after you have pulled an all-nighter or a foot rub at the end of a long day. Here are a few ways you can pamper your partner this Valentine’s Day.
Nothing says you care like a good-old home cooked meal. It shows your partner that you care enough to know their favorite dish and put in the effort to recreate it for them. Go the extra mile by recreating a restaurant setting with candles and flowers. Rest assured, you will sweep your partner off their feet.
Say it with words
As the old Bee-Gees song goes ‘It’s only words, and words are all I have to take your breath away.’ Surprise your loved one with a handwritten note or send them a flirty text when they are in the middle of a meeting just to keep things interesting. If you are not the cheesy romantic type, select lines from ‘your’ song or a serial you watch together, just to know your SO you are thinking of them. Or better yet, buy one of our e-vites!
Schedule date night
When you are together for a long time, you tend to settle into a comfortable routine. Keep things interesting by taking your partner out for a date night. Better yet, get a copy of a movie you both have been meaning to watch and organize a quiet night at home. This lets your partner know you value them and don’t take them for granted.
In the heat of an argument, it is hard to remember why you fell in love with your better half. Fill a jar with rolls of paper with things you love about your partner and how they make you feel so you can remind yourself and your partner about all the wonderful things in your relationship.
